Triathlon Alberta Releases New Strategic Plan

The Board of Directors has lead the development of the new strategic plan to guide the organization through its next chapter. While the organization has achieved significant milestones under its former framework, a refreshed strategy is essential to ensure continued relevance, effectiveness, and impact in an increasingly dynamic environment.

With the Strategic Plan now in place, the organization is well-positioned to build on its achievements, embrace future opportunities, and strengthen its impact for years to come. Guided by a clear vision, defined priorities, and a commitment to excellence, the organization looks forward to confidently pursuing its goals and delivering meaningful results for the stakeholders and communities it serves.

Key strategic pillars include; 

Participation: Triathlon Alberta will help increase participation in triathlon and multisport in the province by helping create and organize programs, helping reduce barriers to participation, and providing support for partner organizations to host and market races and events.

Development pathways: Triathlon Alberta will help develop pathways for competitive and elite athletes. 

Safe and fair competition and participation: Triathlon Alberta will provide leadership and oversight to partner organizations to support safe, fair and consistent racing and participation experiences across the province.

Oversight of partner organizations: Triathlon Alberta will provide effective oversight of the activities of its partner organizations by building transparent, collaborative and accountable relationships with all partners involved in the delivery of triathlon and multisport.

Governance of Triathlon Alberta: Triathlon Alberta will build long‑term operational stability through robust governance practices and proactive planning.

More than a document, the plan is a shared commitment to the future, providing a clear path forward and a strong foundation for growth, innovation, and lasting impact.
