Safe Sport Update: Fostering a Safe and Inclusive Environment for All

Triathlon Alberta is dedicated to fostering a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for everyone involved in our sport. The well-being of our athletes, coaches, officials, volunteers, administrators, and families remains our top priority, and maintaining this environment is a shared responsibility across our entire triathlon community.

As we continue to support athletes and events across the province, we want to take a moment to reaffirm Triathlon Alberta's ongoing commitment to Safe Sport.

A Collective Responsibility

Whether you are an athlete training for your first race, a parent cheering on the sidelines, a volunteer guiding the course, or a coach leading a team, your actions and communication help establish a culture of trust, respect, and accountability.

While coaches and community leaders play a pivotal role in shaping positive sport experiences, we encourage all participants to take time to review our updated Safe Sport policies. It is essential that we all remain mindful of boundaries and continue working together to foster environments where athletes feel safe, supported, and empowered to speak up if concerns arise.

Zero Tolerance and Speaking Up

As a reminder, Triathlon Alberta has zero tolerance for harassment, abuse, discrimination, or misconduct of any kind. We encourage anyone in our community to report concerns or incidents through a process that feels safe and comfortable for them.

Thank you for your ongoing commitment to participant well-being and for helping make triathlon a positive, rewarding, and safe experience for everyone involved.
