The new Youth Community Coaching course is officially live, and registration is now open.

To ensure coaches are receiving top-tier training, this program is fully integrated into the Triathlon National Coach Certification Program (NCCP) and built in direct partnership with the Coaching Association of Canada (CAC). It’s designed to give you a recognized, national-standard toolkit to work specifically with youth athletes.

The Game Plan

Coaching kids in a demanding three-sport discipline takes a specific approach that balances technical fundamentals with keeping things fun. The new curriculum zeros in on four main objectives:

Skill Building: Giving you the right methods to teach and support the absolute basics of swimming, cycling, and running.
Active Lifestyles: Looking past race day to promote long-term, healthy habits that stick with kids as they grow.
Standardized Development: Getting the community on the same page. By standardizing the essential skills young athletes need, we can better optimize their long-term development in the sport.
Progress Tracking: The course introduces a new tracking tool that keeps athletes, coaches, and parents connected. It provides a clear, structured progression to ensure kids are participating safely and at the right pace.
